I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday and you are well rested and ready for the upcoming festivities of the next month. The Hallmark Channel is in full holiday mode in case you missed it!
Happy November and THANKSGIVING to all our members!
It is hard to believe, but another car show season is ended! I must admit, my Thunderbirds, all three of them, spent more time in the garage, out of the rain, than they did outside. My wife was com-plaining that I did not take her out for ice cream, or even for a run down the shore. The weather was terrible this Spring, Summer and even into the Fall, so most shows either where can-celled or went on in the rain.
First, I hope everyone has “weathered” Hurricane Florence safely! With hurricane season still here, hopefully everyone makes it through with minimal impact.
This Auto Show season has certainly been a “bust” due to the wet, humid conditions in our area. We did luck out and have a good day for our show, but many of the shows were not as lucky.
While October should bring drier weather, the last big show is typically the North Catasauqua show. The flyer is in this newsletter, so plan on coming out to it. Look for where we will meet at and let’s all try to get there for a good club showing.
Well car enthusiasts, car lovers, car people, whatever you want to classify your-selves as, here we are in September. You have about 60 days until this car show season is shot, done, kaput, finished, So if you have not gotten to an event this year, you are running out of time fast.
The Nazareth Day Car Show was a great success. Everyone was so busy, we did not get time to take pictures of the field, but we had some great cars there! Check out this month’s newsletter to see them!
Hello and Happy July to Everyone!
I hope everyone has a Great Independence Day planned, filled with family and friends.
Happy May Fellow Club Members!
Well, Spring has sprung and it is time to shake off the cobwebs and get the Thunderbird out! Car shows are starting and there is no sense in belonging to the club if you are not getting the car out and showing it about the Lehigh Valley Area. Just get out of your chair, get in the Thunderbird and drive like you stole it.
Unlike the recent past where I was writing this watching snow fall, today is a beautiful sunny day and I can see that my lawn will need plenty of attention this season. But green is much better than white!
Happy March Fellow Club Members,
Finally, Spring is within our grasp and this cold, snowy winter will be in the past! The first day of Spring is Tuesday, March 20th, followed by our club’s first car display, at the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Show, on Saturday, March 24th. Once again we have been asked to bring about 14 to 20 vehicles to display from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm at the Stabler Arena. As usual, we will be parked on the walkway area across from the large TV and I am hoping that Fiat USA has updated their commercials! Please let me know if you can attend. This event goes a long way to promote our club in the Lehigh Valley.
BRRRRRRR Fellow Club Members,
While it is staying lighter longer each day, Old Man Winter is definitely showing off! The Club Board elected to cancel the January Meeting due the very frigid temperatures, high winds and poor road conditions. Yes, I know, some of you walked to school in 8 feet of snow in zero degrees, barefoot. But really, today we have heat, cars and much higher accident rates, so we elected to stay home and watch some “Elvira movies”! At least that is what Walt was doing!
